Bolt, bolt and bolt. Always bolt your fittings down. There are only two
places where you might be unable to bolt, low down in the mast foot and the
sides of the centre board case. Every where else must be bolted, even if you
think the loads will be light.
other tips.
Nylock nuts - there is nothing more worrying than finding a loose
nut in the bottom of the boat.
seal the hole - A little bit of varnish on the thread will seal
the hole. This stops water getting in the wood and prevents black
spots forming.
