Here is what a recent new Albacore sailor has said about the boat:

"First of all I'm new to Albacores (1 week new). My experience to date is:
1) Collect the boat (wooden) we've just bought for my wife & father-in-law (an ex-Albacore hotshot).
2) Rig the boat.
3) Jump in the boat & sail directly to the startline.
4) Win the race.
I didn't win because I'm particularly good, in fact my regular crew helmed the race, while I held my six year old daughter over the side, so she could pee, during the second lap. We won because the boat is fantastic.
I'm currently sailing a 49er & before that a Musto Skiff, RS800.. ................................
