We are now re-registered and logged in.
What a fantastic new site you have set up for us - may it go from strengh to strengh.

John, please can you say if it is now possible for us all to add an image or file to our messages in the text or as an attachment.

Perhaps one still needs to have a website to do this?

Many thanks - I'm sure this is going to be a fine forum once we all know how to use it.

Regards to all.

The forum allows you to upload your pictures (as long as they are not too large).

When posting: click on the "Browse..." button next to where is says "Select image file to attach" and locate the file on your PC.
To position the image click on the "[img]" button next to the "Browse..." button. Like this

You will then see "[img]" in your post. When you submit the post, the file will be uploaded and inlcuded in the post where the "[img/]" tag was.

That seemed to work then.

Not quite an Alb. but I had better explain why not.

We are still working on a long standing restoration of our wooden Alb. but we also own a Tomahawk 25 cruiser which we are also restoring, and we have just embarked on a fairly major refurb of our house here in Hadleigh. Oh and I'm still working part time.

Its nearly nine years since we sold our Speed Albacore which we had sailed at Tewkesbury Cruising and Sailing Club, and were persuaded to sell when we moved back to Suffolk.
I, in particular have been missing our dinghy sailing, as cruiser sailing seems relatively tame by comparison.

Having joined the Royal Harwich Yacht Club about a year ago, we found several members there (indeed some rather older than us) were regularly racing in Lasers, so recently I suddenly decided to get a Laser for myself, in an attempt to get back into the saddle sooner.

Work will continue on our Alb. albeit slowly, and we hope to race her in the dinghy handicap class next year. The laser will then have to go, but as Bruce Kirby once said about his amazing creation "it realy is a dear little thing" I have however just purchased a nearly new Radial sail, as I am reliably informed that it will be more suitable for my inadequate weight( oh, and for my age too)

Now let's see lots of photos - preferably of Albs.

Good sailing everyone, whatever it's in...
