What have Yachts and Yachting got against Albacores?

For the second year running they cocked up our finishing position and published them on the website before anyone could have a chance to object. Its no good apologising and then putting it right a couple of days later!

As I said in my email to the organisers "booze-up", "brewery", "organise" and "couldn't" are words that spring to mind.

The "organisers" (I use the word loosely) did not have enough recorders - You need at least 3 or 4 in which case they should have had a video camera to playback and check who was where.

If we get an invite next year I think we should decline unless they bring in a professional team.

For the belated record we finished 7th - there were only 56 entries for them to muddle up

Jerry,

Reading an albacores sail number at 22 knots must be hard.

Well done I see the phantoms still managed to use there handicap to thier advantage.

On reflection, perhaps I'm being too hard on the "organisers" at least this year they got the winner right and didnt have to ask for the first prize back on the following Monday as they did last year

There are some pictures that give a taste of the event online here:
fotoboat.thirdlight.com/viewdir.tlx?albumid=131566 Jerry is on page 6 just about to make a Laser sandwich. I am on page 2 - time to make some rig adjustments looking at those pics.
This image sums it up for me:

Everything from a foiling Moth to a Thames A rater, and Jerry so far in front of me you cant even see him!

The results have now been corrected on the Y&Y site. www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/?article=139829
Jerry was 6th overall.
By my calculation, the Albacores were the third team after the Phantoms and National 12s
