We are still awaiting the hoards of entries to the Nationals that I am sure are about to come but remember, post it tomorrow or pay Ł10 extra. We are looking for at least 40 boats to make this a viable event and so far we have only got 19 - so get off the pot and put that cheque in the post.

Katsie Weightsie is on her third coat of hull varnish and the inside is complete. Unfortunately today is the first day of rain for ages so despite drying the hull 3 times already I think today is a washout for the next coat. Maybe I should get the wet and dry out and use the rain instead of fighting it.

Anyway bottom line is Katie and I will be at Looe. Just to show her dedication it clashes with "T in the park" and she has a ticket.... soon to be on ebay I think!

Looking forward to seeing everybody, Looe is def one of my favourite venues and I have great memories from the last time, Kareokee, Sharing Martin Cockrams garage just one hundered yards from the dinghy park and it was Katies first Championship. All good fun and we did quite well too.

Just as a thought, is anyone looking to come to the Scotland for the Scottish/Europeans in August, I have an Albacore that is currently under refurbishment and if pushed could be ready! Early warning of desire would be great.

Cheers

In addition to Barney Harris, there will be 2 further competitors from North America at both Lyme & the Nationals :- Warner Monteiro and Raheel Khan.

Speed Sails will also be sending a boat to be driven by either Richard Estaugh or his right-hand man Tom.

From Lyme a top Fireball sailor Allan Tyler (who was our PRO at the Lyme Internationals) is to be helming Jeremy Wallace's boat. All these and Michael Mac should make it a champs to remember.

Mine's in the post. It would have been there quite a while ago if I hadn't been expected to get the crew's signature in order to enter!
