As forecast,Saturday was a blow-out with 50 knot gusts to keep us quiet but we managed to get in 3 back to back races on Sunday in a beautiful sunny Force 4 rising 5 with a wonderful sea running - some great surfing. It was a pity most of the few visitors we got decided to leave before the Race Officer Allan Tyler had inspected the course at 10 am.
Neville Herbert had the misfortune to have his mast jump out of the step on a run but saved the mast from going through the bottom, he also broke a shroud in the third race.
Apart from Neville it felt like a normal Lyme club race with the other 4 boats all from that club. Winning helm was Mary Rook. Results are on the Lyme website
