Bit of a shameless plug really, but 6th and 7th of Sept is the annual Tewkesbury sailing club regatta. This is a great event (mixed handicap racing) the 2 day event is great for the family, we have free camping as well as a disco Saturday evening. Racing starts Saturday at 1:00.

We had a few Visiting Albacores with us a few years ago and it turned out to be a great event. We have at least 3 home albs out, so come on guys and gals, have a go at river sailing!!!

Hi

I would never apologise for plugging your regatta. I seem to remember Tewksbury having a lot more than 3 Albacores, what happened to them?

If you do have 3 then why not think about coming to next years Champs in Largs and entering the "Little Ships Team Trophy"... see a plug shoud never be missed.... 18th - 24th July 2009.

Well, some people changed to single handed sailing, others just changed classes. I think we used to have 7 active racing albs a few years ago. The problem i should imagine with Largs next year is it is right slap bang in the middle of Abersoch dinghy week, which is a great TSC traditio, so i cant see many going. But you would nneed to ask the Albacore fleet about that

I have been asked by a regular Abersoch Albacore sailor to propose Abersoch as a venue for the Nationals in 2010, possibly straight after the Abersoch week, so maybe if this comes off you can do Largs next year, equally family friendly, and we (the Albacore fleet) can do Abersoch in 2010...... win win.

Hi All,

I have already spoken to SCYC about Abersoch 2009 and it is the week after the Internationals.

Happy Days

As Phil says there would appear to be no clash with next years champs and I believe that we are seriusly considering Abersoch for 2011. I will update this when we confirm.
