Just a note to whoever maintains this site - the link to redeyesails on the Suppliers page doesn't seem to be working

And rushsails don't appear to make sails for Albacores, unless I need new spectacles!ianmhill2008-09-16 09:45:26

You'll find these guys do the cnc cutting & send the panels to various sailmakers for completion.

Food for thought?

Mark - I must have caught their web site on an off-day. I agree it is now working.
I have edited my post above.

I was pretty sure that Redeye were no longer trading as such and have now found a link that backs this up.
www.yachtsandyachting.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4734
Redeye merged with Solution Sailing. Solutions subsequently split with the boat building going to Ovington and the sailmaking going to Lonton & Gray .
Trevor - I think Relling One Design could be taken off the Suppliers pages as I'm pretty sure Richard is no longer making Sails and I believe Adam works for North when he is not doing his coaching thing.

Hi

If it's any consolation the number that David has given is also the number on the url that I have given for Rush sails.

David, hi

I heard, on the Notts County grapevine, Tim is working for North Sails at present.

I'm not sure if he is using his Alb patterns or the Canadian North pattern, which is now the UK spec replacing the high aspect jib used by the Young Bros?

Hi Ian

homepage.ntlworld.com/tim.rush/racingsails.html

Not in Alphabetical order so look down the list, second from the bottom "Albacore" or ninth from the top... not a long list then Derek!

All joking aside I hope that you get what you are looking for.

We (as a class) obviously have a number of suppliers who not only have sails "off the shelf" but would look at crew weight, boat shape, mast section. etc. Why not start a new question on the forum with all your details and see what response you get.

regards

Says they do Albacore Sails, I'm sure the administrator will sort the link in due course.

All

Redeye sails now don't make sails I should know it was my company! Sorry but I went back to my day job I'm now sailing and enjoying it and will be down at Ogston this weekend having a sail and some beers.

Redeye did merge with Evolution Sailing but I subsequently sold my share in the company and sold the rights to the Redeye Solution to Ovington. Lonton and Gray do have the Redeye Patterns for the Albacore as do Rooster Sailing, I am not sure that L&G would want to make Albacore sails but the contact there is Ian Gray,

As regards Tim Rush he does make Albacore sails and is now working for North One Design, Tim is also likely to be at Ogston on Sunday and will be having a sail with me for a couple of races (god help him!!!). If anyone wants to discuss Albacore sails there I'm sure Tim will oblige.
