Bartley Burnout Sat 7 November.

Congrats to Will Gulliver, winning in a mixeed fleet of 62 boats, in his Phantom that was the only snag.

Great turn out, Great event Alb'This way Up' enjoyed the racing.

Neville Herbert & I got Against All Odds round to finish 8th overall, behind the very competitive Merlins & Phantoms which took the places above us.

Hi

Enjoyed the event

I let Matt loose at the Helm and he finished 38th, 2nd Junior

Phantoms and Merlin were very quick though!!!

Overall Matt & Emma finished 5th in the DYS series, first double handed boat, beaten by a laser 8.1 and 3 optimists (stealth PY, they have 32 minutes head start over an hour which is not good in light winds!).

Two firsts in the the series with the rest a mixed bag, worst results were 7th's.

Pinched the boat back of them now though!

regards

Good effort by the Albacores & keep up the good work Matt. Unfortunately you will never beat well-sailed Phantoms or modern Merlins unless it is Force 5 or more - Handicap bandits!
