I'm glad I didnt try to go to this event - see the pictures on Yachts & Yachting Forum - visibilty about 50 metres or yards depending apon age

On a more serious note the top 6 boats were all Merlins or Phantoms just like the Starcross Steamer - people are going to stop going to these handicap events unless handicaps are altered. At Shoreham S C Merlins sail off the same PY No as Fireballs and at Sutton Bingham S C Phantoms sail off 1000 - because no one would bother racing otherwise
