I ve' just aquired albacore 6953 built of wood but needs a major overhaul, does anyone know if it is a Woof or a Young built boat?
Also can any one give me some good hints on repairing some of the delaminations of the veneer?
Looks like its going to be a long project.

Depending on what you hope to do with it once completed, I would suggest that you contact the RYA and ask for a certificate before you start.

The boat doesn't exist in the existing boat register, but is between a batch of Kingsfields and a couple of Young's.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Try following the link below:

www.westsystem.com/ss/assets/howto-pub2/...n%20and%20Repair.pdf

This takes you to a PDF file which you can download. It is from Gougeon Brothers on the repair of wooden boats using WEST epoxy. If you look at section 5.4 there is a section referring to the repair of diagonal build hulls which you may find useful. I have a hard copy of this book which I have found invaluable when maintaining my boats. The whole thing is a very useful reference work.

Hope this helps! :)
