I got sent this by Tom Saunders in Canada. 60km/h is about 32.4 knots - the top end of F7 but they kept it going with a flat boat:
Greetings from the middle of Canada.
Thought maybe your members might be interested in this video.
It was shot on a day when the winds were recorded as gusting in excess
of 60kph at Winnipeg International Airport.
The boat is a bone-stock former sailing school boat that we paid $900
for (say L400), new set of North Sails included.
The advantage of sailing on a former meteorite crater -- no reefs, no
islands, a perfect bowl five miles across to blow your brains out (also
400 ft of water so don't drop your watch...) and when it blows, no one
to get in your way!
