Which classes have the best training available these days?
We have 6 keen youths at Lyme and we want to help them progress, but we adults are all too long in the tooth to know which are the best for young teenagers(approx 14 years old)
Lasers even with the 4.2 rig are a big boat - Toppers have lots of regional events. In the 2-handers 420s used to be the best but may be old hat now

Incidentally the "porn filter" at work refused to let me look at the Topper dinghy class website!

Teach them to be good crews first!

Try the Lark - friendly training, strong youth crowd and an annual youth champs with boat borrowing organised. But definitely agree about crewing as it teaches teamwork.
