Our brand new Ovington Alb, sail number 8193 wood decked by James Jarvey and finished by Allen Brothers will be on the Allen stand this weekend. The boat has the latest 2013 design from Hydes, new foils from Milanes and Jarvey and a few new rigging techniques. Come and have a look this weekend, 2nd & 3rd March.

All Albacore sailors past, present & future will be welcome on the Albacore stand at the Show. We hope to repeat the success of last year's champagne reception (please bring own champagne)

Yes, everyone very welcome – and you get to see two Albacores – one brand new from C&S Boats on the class stand (B19 in the Great Hall) and a new composite on the Allen Bros Stand (C80 also in the Great Hall )

On the Albacore Class stand we will be providing further info on the Internationals at Abersoch in August including the launch of the event logo. The soon-to-be-issued ALIVE magazine will also contain full details including the NOR and the web site will have this info posted just after the show.

If you’ve not been to the show before give it a go – there’s loads to see and do and buy!

Thanks to everone who helped on the Albacore stand at the dinghy show this weekend. Not had any feedback on the Sunday but Saturday was busy most of the day as the attached photo shows. Visitors ranged from a young couple who had just inherited an Albacore and wanted to join the association to a guy who crewed in Albacore 4 in the 50's! Was also good to see Neville and Mark's new composite. Special thanks to Paul Sleeman and his good lady who made the 17 hour trip from Scotland to display his new boat and also to Gilly Foulds for a ladies touch in setting up the stand ablely assisted by our Chairman, Mr McNamara.

Shame I missed the show this year, sounds like it was a good one.
The young couple who inherited an Albacore are at Maidenhead. Looking forward to seeing them on the water next week - ice cancelled racing today.
