Hi
I think the Bow bag on my Mk1 Albacore is beyond repair (dated 1962). Before I buy a (expensive!) new one - can I ask for advice on recommended buoyancy? The current one is rated at 300lb (136L). Do you think that is the correct spec, or should I consider the larger 193L Bow bag?

Btw - I have large cylindrical bags under the seats and smaller ones under the rear deck.

Thanks,
Gair

I think the class rules say that a boat should have 360Kg of positive buoyancy.

You should be able to work it out from that.

Thank you Phil. Obvious now you mention it! I'll check the other bags, all of '64 vintage. I wonder if they are filled with 50 year old air!
