Mike McNamara will lead the training day at Maidenhead on Saturday 9 April 2011 with help from myself and with John Woffinden on the video camera, so first capsize guaranted on the big screen.
Provisional programme
Boats rigged and ready for a series of short races starting at 11am, followeb by a talk on sail setting over lunch and then an intense series of starts / tacks / gybes in the afternoon. Anticipated finish at 4pm.
Training is free to association members, £10 per boat for non-members.

Bring your own lunch, or otherwise we can collect from local fish and chip shop for you.

For those of you who didnt make the training day on Saturday, you missed a fantastic day's sailing.

Mike McNamara provided excellent training cleverly structured to suit all levels and abilities. Everyone learnt a great deal.

A huge thank you to Mike.

Its a shame more boats could make it to the event. It would be interesting to understand why you couldn't make it, so we can address any issues for future training days.

I did think about going to the training day, having started sailing an Alb (1546) this year I need all the advice and training I can get.
However the distance and cost of travelling from the Wirral in the end scuppered the plan
