The Notice of race has now been published for the Maidenhead Open Meeting.
Price includes entry, lunch for helm & crew as well as tea and cakes after racing.

There is a social function on at the club on the Saturday night so the bar will be open and available to those hardy types who want to camp over. (Tickets may be available for the meal too, but priority will have to be given to club members first).

Post here or drop me a line (john at woffinden.net) if you are planning on coming so we can get an idea of numbers.

Always my favourite event! Yes I will be there but with a borrowed boat and my own sails as Blue Jay is currently undergoing a thorough refurb. If you are running a pre-entry it will be Blue Streak helmed by myself with Ian Simpson as crew. Hope that starts with a positive note and we get a really good entry this year. From what you have posted so far there is no shortage of water so not so many shallows! Looking forward to it

Any Albacore visitors staying over on Saturday night are welcome to come to the club start of summer social event on Saturday evening.
Doors open 6:30 for a meal at 7pm (spit roast chicken and fries + pudding).
Tickets are £12, let me know if you would like to come.

The bar will be open.

Another new boat? What happened to last years one?

Another excellent season opener with a little more wind that forecast - add blue skies, sun and blue water and you get the picture. There was plenty of close competitive sailing. Congratulations to Maidenhead who picked up the podium places with John Woffinden first,Phil Tindall second and Barry Wickes in third completing the whitewash! All that winter practice paid off then.
