TOPIC:

All welcome for a spot of river sailing on 28th October to mark the last open meeting of 2012.
Visitors - and we need some if this event is to continue - are welcome to come along on the Saturday and take part in our 3pm race, tune the boat and get all the bits of string organised.
No problem with camping but it might be a bit chilly for it, otherwise there are b&b's just up the road.
This will be the only racing taking place on the day, so we have a number of competent people available if anyone would like to come but is struggling for a crew.
3 races starting at 11am, £8 entry fee and landing stages so you don't have to get wet before you even start!

This year, hopefully, we won't expose our bottom again!

Now look all, this is great opportunity to try something different, no open water, no easy wind shifts, if you can sail and win on a river you can do it anywhere.....plus - the 'Poppy & Pint' becon, and yes Dave, "Old Rosie" cider is still on as is the chillie burger!!!!!!

Thanks for putting these photos up, he has managed to get photos of every boat and 14 boats in one of them.
One of the advantages of being on the river is you can take decent photos with little or no effort, and spectators can see what's going on.
I am just getting to grips with doing a bit of a report, which I will send in shortly.
